This 11-day all-inclusive adventure group tour consists of first a road trip from Antananarivo (Tana) to Miandrivazo where starts the 3-day boat trip on Tsiribihina River till Belo sur Tsiribihina village. The second part of the tour involves an amazing road trip on a dirt road to Bekopaka village, the gateway to the Tsingy of Bemaraha Park. Wildlife viewing here is incredible! Hiking and climbing can be challenging but rewarding here. The third part takes you to the majestic Avenue of the Baobabs by sunset. The tour ends in Tana.

Early departure from Antananarivo to Miandrivazo via Antsirabe on National Road 7 & 34. You have early lunch in Antsirabe. Stop en route for photo-ups. Late afternoon arrival in Miandrivazo, one of the hottest towns in Madagascar.

Drive to Masiakampy where the 1st leg of the amazing river expedition starts on a comfortable motor. Full day to experience Tsiribihina River offering wonderful sights: landscape, villages, activities by local people, and wildlife such as birds, lemurs…with the help of your English-speaking guide, and crew members.

Enjoy your last half day on the Tsiribihina River. Enjoy more “outworldly” sights from your boat. After lunch on board, transfer to Belo sur Tsiribihina, the transit town to the Tsingy of Bemaraha. Drive on a dirt road to Bekopaka (about 100km from Belo sur Tsiribihina).

Whole day to visit the Grand Tsingy. This is probably the most rewarding half-day trip within the park as it goes deep into the limestone forest passing through several hanging bridges with the impressive karstic formations below your feet. Picnic lunch in the park. Afternoon visit of the Petit Tsingy for two view points over the impressive pinnacles. Best for sunset view here. There are some good chances to spot the Decken’s sifaka and red-fronted brown lemurs.

The big Tsingy: This is probably the most rewarding half-day trip within the park as it goes deep into the limestone forest passing through several hanging bridges with the impressive karstic formations below your feet. The trail is not technically difficult and even children can cope with it, but you certainly should not suffer from vertigo! The look down from the hanging bridge is something to avoid for the easily fainted.

After breakfast, drive to Kirindy Forest. Stop for lunch in Belo sur Tsiribihina. Mid-afternoon arrival at Kirindy Forest. Start an introductory guided nature walk in the forest to observe endemic red-fronted brown lemurs, Verreaux sifaka and other endemics in this dry deciduous forest. Birds and reptile species here are also abundant. Join your naturalist guide for a night walk in search of night-active lemurs, such as mouse lemur species and fork-marked lemurs, etc.

Whole morning to spend at Kirindy Forest. Explore its dry deciduous forest and ecosystem while enjoying observing its endemics. Besides rare lemurs, and birds, rare endemic mammal, such as narrow-striped mongoose can be observed here. Lunch and mid-afternoon drive back to Morondava. First stop at the nearby Sacred Baobab. Then take a detour to the Baobabs in love. Stop by sunset at the famous Baobab Avenue to experience memorable photo-ops.
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit of Betania fisherman’s village for a memorable discovery and culture walk. Lunch in Morondava and transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Tana. Transfer to your hotel near downtown area. Rest of the day at leisure.

Leisurely breakfast at the hotel. City tour of Antananarivo including a visit of the upper town. Enjoy a unique panoramique view of Antananarivo valley and its surroundings. Stop at an craft market for souvenir shopping. Lunch and transfer to Ivato Airport for your international flight home.

Most comfortable accommodation throughout besides the 2-night camping along the bank of Tsiribihina River. Camping equipment will be provided but you can bring your own sleeping bags/pillows if you wish.
Some of the underground trails through the Tsingy labyrinth can be pretty narrow, so some people might not be able to go through them. Also if you have vertigo, avoid taking the hanging bring or climbing to the viewpoint of the Tsingy. Otherwise, you could use medications to treat vertigo before you take the tour.
